Read all instructions before deploying the light
bulb, or plugging the unit into an electrical outlet.
• Bulb is fragile! Protect till lowering into
water. Broken bulbs are not warranted!
1. Locate a suitable place to mount the power
unit, under the dock’s roof, within 9 feet
of GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) 110-volt
outlet. The Ziploc baggy has mounting screws.
Mount the unit but do not plug into electrical
outlet.
2. Decide on bulb placement location. Bulb should
be at least 4 feet below water surface to avoid
boat propeller traffic. Locate the supplied weight,
slit plastic tube and 2 short zipties.
3. Determine depth of of water, then location
where the weight will be attached to cable, keeping
in mind the 4’ minimum distance from water
surface. Secure weight by placing cable in the
slit tube for “rub protection,” then
cinch together using 2 zipties. Example: if water
depth is 7 feet deep and you need top of bulb
4 feet below water, weight is tied 3 feet from
top of bulb.
NOTE: be sure there is no slippage between the
cable and weight. If you are in the coastal areas,
remember your tide changes! |
