The
crystal clear bulb shines brightly under the water,
giving off a green/yellow appearance due to the
algae content of the water. In short the clearer
the water, the larger the light cone will be.
Small baitfish are attracted to this light at
first, nibbling on suspended aquatic particles
in the water. Round and round they swim, darting
about fighting each other for food and warmth
from the bulb. The larger game fish quickly pick
up on this activity, so they swim in. They hide
in the darkness, just outside the light cone,
patiently waiting for their opportunity to feed
on these small baitfish. If your fishing license
is valid, feel free to cast a lure and drag it
along the edge of the light!
A wonderful marvel of nature is living just under
your boat dock. The light source from below, shining
up will give your dock a whole new exciting appearance
too! The under side of your boat’s hull
is lit up, showing off the great styling lines
that a traditional overhead light doesn’t
show. Say goodbye to those pesky bugs those lights
bring in too! |
